    Funding

Funding for EAFK can come from a combination of sources, including the sponsoring Rotary Club, RI District simplified grants, the sponsored school or school district, Title funding (EAFK is a research-based program and qualifies for certain government funds that can be applied for by the schools), the sponsored school’s PTA,/PTO fundraising events, grants, and individual/corporate donations.

The ideal approach is to seed the first year’s program’s costs yourself and then make your program a showcase for potential community donors to visit throughout the year. This will also heighten your Club’s public visibility. Once people see EAFK in action, getting their support is easy. Individual EAFK programs have had shared support already from such sponsors as USAA and Sac-N-Pac from this method.
